Our Family – La Nostra Famiglia

Everyone in our family has a role to play in the family business – and everyone in our business is also considered part of the Castellucci family. But, winemaking goes back at least two generations in our family. Our grandfather, Luigi Castellucci lived in Calabria and made wine in his basement. The notion of wine with almost every meal has definitely been part of our family’s culture, heritage and lifestyle ever since we can remember.

When our father, Antonio Castellucci was very young he moved from Italy to Argentina. After a little while he finally settled in San Francisco. Like most immigrants he had big dreams and very little money. It was in San Francisco that our father met my mother Rita and they fell in love. We grew up, along with our sister Angela, in the Bay Area and were surrounded by Italian culture.
